What a devastating loss for Bellingham! So many years of memories for Whatcom County residents.

I loved that old school! I remember slidding down the hallways as a kid after school hours and playing in the school yard. That school is a huge part of the community. I pray they will be able to save and rebuild around the main structure as the did for Bellingham High when the did the renovation. I know this is differnt as it is due to fire but the build still has great "bone structure".

Now it's time to take care of the 600 kids who called WMS home. It's important to try to keep the together.

My dad went to high school here and I went to Jr. high school here. It is the center of lots of memories. I remeber the covered bleachers at Batersby Field across the street from the school. I remeber the science classes, orchestra classes and the big auditoium . This is a huge loss. "Waste not thy Hour".

We woke up to see the school burning from our house. What a sad event. I hope that the school can be saved and its historic character preserved. I had hoped that my child would attend there.
